How I became a Muslim?

My transition from Protestant to Muslim

Well, some years ago I was studying English in my country of origin and to practice I downloaded some apps to chat with native English speakers.

So I met many guys from different countries none of them English native but 95% of those guys were from Muslim countries. Sincerely not all of them had good intentions talking to me but I will never forget two Egyptian guys around two years younger than me always used to tell me make Dua (petitions to Allah) for me.

Those two guys change my life. I need to confess and is something that I feel shame of me, I used to, with my American ideology ask them if they were terrorists and one day something just changed.

Those guys, May Allah bless them forever and guide them for the right path; taught me what is real Islam and every time their mouths were open to speak I was becoming more and more in love with Islam.

In future posts I will start to share my little knowledge about Islam with all of you.

Why it was so easy for me to convert to Islam? Because the difference that I have found in the Bible and the Quran are few also the same Quran never denies the value and repeats us on many occasions situations from the old books like the Bible, Torah, Zabur, etc.

In my presentation post I said about how grateful I am with my old Protestant Christian religion and one of the main reasons is because in that religion I learned a lot from the bible and having that knowledge makes very easy my understanding of the Holy Qur'an Allhamdullillah!!!

I read it the last Ramadan and it was life changing for me because I was in a hard situation and I could feel how Allah brought peace to my soul through this Ayah. Allah want us to trust him, we may feel the pain consuming inside us when we do not want to leave something loved, material things, persons that we love, etc., but we need to believe in Allah. He will do the best for you always. Sometimes, rather many times in our life we cling to material things or people because as humans we like the things of this world without thinking about what will come for our future, that to which we cling can be destructive to us but still we want to stay there. Allah with His great knowledge maybe want to save us from bigger pains, from heartbreaking situations, from calamities so we need to accept Allah's decision over our life. Believe in Allah and give him...

I was raised in a Catholic Family where I used to read so much about the Bible and to pray in my childhood. When I started my University Studies I questioned my believe in God and I became Christian Protestant. I was taught about God and I am really thankful with that church and with all the persons who guide me while I had that believe. Many persons can ask me why did you change your religion twice and many others can consider that I do not have an emotional stability due to my two changes of religion, nevertheless I never hide that I have been Catholic and Protestant and that now I am a proudly Muslimah because for me all this changes in my believe have been the preparation that Allah has done for me to become Muslimah today and to grow in my knowledge about Allah and in this way c...
